Birth injury cases can be extremely complex; however, our specialist team are able to assess the injuries suffered from medical records and CTG traces, pinpointing the time when things may have started to go wrong and identifying the action that was, or in many cases wasn’t, taken. We are experienced in building a strong claim to ensure appropriate compensation is awarded, thus improving a child’s quality of life and obtaining security for the entire family.
We believe that our responsibility extends beyond simply winning a claim for our client. Our team work closely with skilled and caring rehabilitation specialists to ensure that the best possible care can be provided for as long as it is needed. We always try to secure interim payments so rehabilitation or treatment can start as soon as possible and does not have to wait until the end of a case.

Frequently Asked Medical Negligence Questions:
Who can claim for birth injury negligence?
Birth Injuries are claims for either a child or their parents who suffer a traumatic birth that results in injury to either the parent or child. Injuries can be both physical and psychological. Usually for children, birth injuries sadly mean a brain injury (such as cerebral palsy) has occurred, or other physical injuries. For a mother, this could be physical harm or psychological injury as a result of a negligent birth. Other parents may also have a claim if they witness the traumatic birth. What is considered a negligent birth injury?
Birth injuries can occur in a number of ways however, the most common is usually due to a delay in recognising that a baby is in distress during labour which results in the baby being deprived of oxygen and suffering a brain injury. Other issues such as poor delivery technique that result in harm to the baby or mother, or failure to recognise issues just after birth in the neonatal period can also lead to possible birth injury claims.
