Dean Wilson LLP successfully negotiates six-figure settlement for motorcyclist case study

Dean Wilson Solicitors have obtained a substantial six figure award on behalf of Mr G for his claim for personal injury.

Mr G was involved in a serious road traffic accident in January 2020 when he was knocked form his motorbike. He suffered a shattered pelvis, a tear through his perinium into his lower bowel, and a fractured knee cap.

Due to the seriousness of the injuries Mr G had to be given a stoma, and an external metal cage was applied to help keep the fractures stable.

Ben Davey of Dean Wilson Solicitors was instructed in late February 2020. He immediately worked collaboratively with the Defendant insurer to put in place rehabilitation. It was clear that despite the Covid-19 pandemic unfolding that Mr G was not going to be able to be discharged home. Ben secured funding of over £10,000 per a week so that Mr G could be transferred to a specialist rehabilitation unit for ten weeks.

Once Mr G was discharged home further funding was secured in order to allow him to maximise his recovery and undergo reversal of his stoma. The case was settled in mid-2022 for a substantial six figure sum.
