Your vision, a vital sense, becomes life-altering when damaged, impacting both home and work life.  Our nuanced and empathetic approach, champions Laser Eye Surgery Compensation. Covering essential and elective eye surgeries, such as cataract repair and laser eye procedures, the service acknowledges the potential for mistakes and their devastating consequences.

Our expertise extends to addressing complications in cataract surgery, retinal detachment, and diabetic retinopathy, with an unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive legal support. Our ethos combines legal acumen with empathetic understanding, ensuring a supportive environment for those navigating the intricate landscape of ophthalmic claims.

Laser Eye Surgery Compensation

Eye surgery (or ”ophthalmic surgery”) may be a procedure that you need to have, such as cataract repair, or it may be something you have chosen to have, such as laser eye surgery or eyelid lifting.

Either way, sometimes mistakes are made, with devastating consequences. The most common eye surgery claims are for laser eye surgery (such as Lasik, Laskek, PRK and laser corneal re-shaping) which is used to correct long or short sightedness.

It can result in an improvement in vision but if performed incorrectly can lead to dryness of eyes, night vision problems and permanent eye damage.

Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery is performed to remove a cloudy natural lens which has formed in your eye and replace it with an artificial one. It can be a successful procedure, leading to an improvement in your eyesight but, when a mistake is made, it can lead to deterioration or even the complete loss of sight. You may also have surgery for retinal detachment. When your retina detaches it needs to be treated very quickly, or it can lead to blindness. Mistakes are made when there is a failure to diagnose this condition, or the reattachment surgery is performed negligently, leading to long-term problems.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy can lead to permanent vision loss or complete blindness if not diagnosed and treated in time.
