Dean Wilson LLP recently obtained a significant settlement for a passenger who suffered spinal and pelvic fractures during a road traffic accident.
On 17 December 2022, Ms C was travelling on the way to work, as a front seat passenger in the Defendant’s vehicle. The driver lost control of the vehicle and went into oncoming traffic, colliding with other vehicles on the A2690 on Coombe Valley Way.
Ms C suffered extensive injuries including several spinal fractures, fractures to her pelvis requiring surgery to fixated metal work and stabilise the fractures, and fracture to the ankle.

Liability was never formally admitted. Despite this, Jessica Edwards and Ben Davey of the personal injury team at Dean Wilson obtained early access to funding, facilitating private rehabilitation to aid Ms C’s recovery. This included physiotherapy, psychological therapy, a taxi account, and support of a case manager to aid a gradual return to work. Further, an interim payment from the Defendant was obtained to facilitate Ms C’s travel abroad to visit her children and family.
The client left this fantastic 5 star review:
My experience with Dean Wilson was an excellent one. At the start of my claim I didn't understand what was going on and how it works but thanks to Ben Davies, Jessica Edwards and the rest of the team who helped me comprehend how the claim works from start to finish and was always ready to give advice
