Dean Wilson LLP Recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers UK 2027 Rankings

28 Oct 2026

Dean Wilson LLP has been recognised across the Legal 500 UK 2027 and Chambers UK 2027 guides, with strong departmental rankings maintained across serious injury, clinical negligence, property litigation and family law, alongside new and improved recognition for a number of our lawyers.

The results provide independent recognition of the specialist legal work our teams undertake and, importantly, reflect feedback from the clients and professionals who work with us.

Strong Recognition for Serious Injury and Clinical Negligence

Our serious injury and clinical negligence teams continue to receive some of the firm's strongest rankings.

In the Legal 500 2027 rankings, Dean Wilson retained Tier 1 for Personal Injury: Claimant and Tier 2 for Clinical Negligence: Claimant. Chambers UK 2027 also ranked the firm Band 1 for Personal Injury: Mainly Claimant and Band 2 for Clinical Negligence: Mainly Claimant.

There was further individual recognition for members of the team.

Alex Brown is recognised by Legal 500 as a Leading Partner in Clinical Negligence, moving up from Next Generation Partner, and is newly recognised as a Leading Partner in Personal Injury. He also retains Band 2 rankings in both Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence in Chambers.

Ben Davey has moved from Leading Associate to Next Generation Partner in Clinical Negligence in Legal 500 and is also newly recognised as a Next Generation Partner in Personal Injury. In Chambers, Ben has progressed from Up and Coming to Band 3 in both Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence.

Chambers also welcomes two new individual rankings in Personal Injury, with Claire Glasgow ranked Band 3 for The South and Jessica Edwards recognised as an Associate to Watch.

Alongside the formally ranked lawyers, Legal 500 also recognises Jasmine Cattigan, Jessica Edwards and Lyubov Nikolchova within its 2027 practice commentary for our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams.

Chambers client feedback reflects the combination of technical expertise and personal support that is central to our approach. One respondent said:

“The team at Dean Wilson provided timely and concise, clear advice at all times. They were sensitive to the cognitive challenges I was facing, took the time to listen and explain the complex legal issues, and worked well together to ensure I got a consistent service.”

Our Court of Protection expertise is also recognised, with Frances Pierce retaining her Band 3 UK-wide ranking for Court of Protection: Property & Affairs.

Continued Recognition for Property Litigation

Dean Wilson's Property Litigation team retained its Tier 3 ranking in Legal 500 and Band 3 ranking for Real Estate Litigation in Chambers UK.

The rankings recognise a team advising on a broad range of contentious commercial and residential property matters. Legal 500 highlights work spanning landlord and tenant issues, insolvency, long leasehold and freehold disputes, enfranchisement, lease renewals, dilapidations and covenant matters.

Gabrielle Moffatt and Claire Whiteman both retain Band 2 rankings for Real Estate Litigation in Chambers, while Legal 500 also recognises Duncan Wilks as Head of the Property Litigation team.

The Legal 500's 2027 practice commentary also recognises Claire Whiteman and Gabrielle Moffatt, with Duncan Wilks named as Practice Head.

Client feedback in Legal 500 reflects the joined-up approach we take to property work:

“A genuine one-stop shop for commercial property advice. The partners work seamlessly together on complex matters, combining their expertise to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions.”

That ability to combine specialist legal knowledge with a clear understanding of the wider commercial picture is central to the way we work with property owners, investors, landlords, agents and businesses across the sector.

Recognition for Complex Family Work

Our Family team has retained its Legal 500 ranking for Family: Kent, Surrey, Sussex and its Chambers UK ranking for Family/Matrimonial in The South.

Legal 500 highlights the team's work for high-net-worth and international individuals, including complex financial matters involving businesses, trusts and pensions.

Julian Hunt, Head of the Family team, is newly recognised as a Leading Partner by Legal 500 and retains his Band 1 Chambers ranking for Family/Matrimonial.

Chambers feedback describes the team as combining high-level legal expertise with a highly personal approach:

“The team at Dean Wilson bring the sharp legal expertise you’d expect from a major firm, but deliver it with the warmth, accessibility and care of a boutique practice.”

That balance matters particularly in complex family cases, where clients need clear, pragmatic advice alongside an understanding of the personal and financial pressures involved.
