Dean Wilson LLP statement on David Fuller sentencing

15 Dec 2021

Dean Wilson LLP are acting for 20 of the families of David Fuller’s mortuary victims. The families are disappointed by the low sentence that he got in respect of these crimes but acknowledge that law reform is required here.

The families are now requesting that the government commit to a full statutory public inquiry looking into how these offences were permitted to happen on NHS property. They do not consider that the non-statutory inquiry is sufficient due to it not having powers to compel witness attendance, nor have any guarantees about what level of input families will be permitted to have. They consider that given the severity of the offences committed, and due to the amount of time that they were able to go undetected, only a statutory inquiry will suffice.
