Ben Davey Settles Complex Chronic Pain Case

01 Feb 2018

Complex chronic pain case settled

Ben Davey has had a busy January achieving a six figure settlement for a client with a severe chronic pain injury to the shoulder. The client had suffered what initially appeared to be a minor whiplash type injury in a road traffic accident in 2015. Over the preceding months after the accident the pain in his right shoulder steadily became worse. He was seen by a shoulder surgeon who recommended surgery and this was carried out. Unfortunately, this resulted in an increase to the client’s pain levels. He had to give up his job as a builder and even lifting something as light as an empty plate would send shooting pain through his arm. At this point he realised that he needed specialist help which is when the client contacted our personal injury solicitors.

Achieving A Settlement Supporting The Clients’ Future

The client consulted with Ben Davey who identified that there was a home insurance policy available which would pay the client’s legal fees on his behalf. Ben was able to use this to pay the client’s legal costs and over two years built a case which resulted in a settlement to pay for the client’s future medical expenses, his loss of earnings, and to secure his future.
