Uk Living Wage Increases to £8.25

The Living Wage Foundation has announced its annual increase in the living wage, increasing it from £7.85 to £8.25.

In London, the wage has increased from £9.15 to £9.40.

The living wage is the guidance hourly rate of pay to give a basic standard of living.  It is contrasted with the statutory national minimum wage of £6.70 (for 21+).
