Helen Gent

Areas of specialism 

Helen is a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution Department, supporting the team and running a caseload of Possession Claims. This is Helen's first role in law and she is currently working on Landlord and Tenant matters under the Housing Act 1988, issuing Section 8 and Section 21 claims.

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with First Class Honors from The University of Exeter (2022)

William Irvine

Area of Specialism

William is a recent first-class law graduate from West of England University. This is Williams's first role in law and he is currently assisting the team on Landlord and Tenant matters including the possession proceedings by way of Section 8 and/or Section 21 of the Housing Act 1988.

Eimer Batchelor

Areas of Specialism

Eimer is an experienced Paralegal in Dispute Resolution, specialising in property-related matters. Eimer primarily deals with landlord and tenant disputes and assists landlords in recovering possession of their property and any rental arrears that have accrued. Eimer also has experience dealing with broader Property Litigation matters including adverse possession, rights of way disputes and nuisance claims alongside general Civil Litigation. 

Maria Glinska

Areas of Specialism

Maria is a motivated Paralegal with a solid academic foundation in law, holding an LLB from the University of Sussex and currently pursuing a Level 7 Diploma in Paralegal Practice. Maria joined Dean Wilson in November 2024 and has gained practical experience in legal document review, research, and client support and  legal drafting.

Maria is known for her proactive and detail-oriented approach. She is passionate about tackling complex legal issues and delivering high-quality support to solicitors and team members. 

Josephine Tasker

Josephine is a four-year qualified solicitor and joined Dean Wilson in September 2024. 

Prior to joining the firm, Josephine worked for a national firm in the South West advising on a broad range of litigation matters.

Maryam Pour

Areas of Specialism

Maryam is a dedicated Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution team and assists with various possession proceedings including rent mediation, section 21 and section 8 claims. Maryam ensures our clients are kept at the forefront of her work and strives to achieve the best outcomes for them. 

Lisa Osborne

Areas of Specialism

Lisa has worked for Dean Wilson LLP for over 11 years in the Dispute Resolution Team and assists Claire Whiteman and specialises in Enfranchisement, Lease Extensions and Right to Manage, including:

  • Licences to Assign.
  • Deeds of Covenant.
  • Deeds of Variation.

Shannon McCarthy-Franklin

Areas of Specialism

 

Shannon is a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution Department working specifically with matters related to Land including transfers of whole or part property and Land Registry applications. Shannon has experience dealing with matters concerning Lease extensions, Notices of Transfer and Charge and Deeds of Covenant.

Lily Hossini

Areas of Specialism

Lily is a Solicitor in the firm’s Dispute Resolution department, specialising in Landlord and Tenant matters. She assists with leasehold disputes, lease extensions (both statutory and informal), freehold acquisitions (both collective enfranchisement and first right of refusal claims), right to manage claims, licences for alterations and deeds of variation. 

Claire Whiteman

Areas of Specialism

Claire’s expertise is in property related disputes, landlord and tenant matters, and enfranchisement matters.

Claire’s clients include commercial and private landlords, property agents, tenants’ associations, trusts and other commercial entities in the leisure and retail sector nationwide. Her work is derived almost entirely from recommendations.
