Alex Brown Secures Multi-million Settlement for Amputee

04 Oct 2017

Following an accident on a motorcycle back in 2012, the Claimant was left requiring a below the knee amputation of one of his legs.

In his quest to regain as much functionality as possible, Alex Brown and the team at Dean Wilson successfully argued that the Claimant should be entitled to a top of the range BiOM prosthesis with working motorised ankle which mimics normal ankle movement along with additional prosthetics for other needs and occasions. This had been resisted vigorously by the Defendant.

Settlement was reached with the Defendant by way of a lump sum of approximately £2,000,000 in compensation for the claim to cover items such as loss of earnings, care, accommodation needs and prosthetics for the rest of the Claimant’s life.

Alex Brown, along with Pardeep Gill advised the Claimant at each step of his claim and allowed him maximum time to rehabilitate and achieve the best recovery outcome possible. If you or someone close to you has been seriously injured in a Road Traffic Accident, you can contact Alex Brown for a no obligation conversation on 01273 249200 or amb@deanwilson.co.uk
