A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor with up to 2 years PQE to join the Employment Team of our leading law firm located in Brighton and Hove.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team with a genuine opportunity to develop your technical, client care and business development skills. You will work alongside the Partner assisting her whilst also developing your own caseload, with a good split of contentious and non-contentious work.
The training and support provided, together with the opportunity to work closely with a highly experienced Employment Law practitioner will make this a good first career move.
The ideal candidate will be a newly qualified (up to 2 years PQE) solicitor ideally with some experience of employment matters in practice, either during training or following qualification.
The caseload will be varied including: Employment Tribunal litigation; advising employers on all HR queries including disciplinary and grievance processes, ill health situations and performance management; advising employees on Settlement Agreements and disputes; providing corporate support on acquisitions and drafting employment documentation including contracts and relevant policies and procedures.
You will also have the opportunity to get involved in marketing initiatives and to grow your personal network.
You will be energetic, enthusiastic, work well under pressure and be a good team player. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate commitment and drive whilst delivering a high-quality service to clients at all times.
Working hours are 9 – 5 Monday to Friday. The role is based in Hove, East Sussex. Hybrid working arrangements operate throughout the Firm.
