Alternatively, you may wish to contact your Citizens Advice Bureau.
Do you do criminal law?
No, but if you are an existing client we can try to assist you in finding the right criminal solicitor for your needs.
Do you offer an initial free or fixed fee interview?
Where possible we will agree a fixed fee for an initial meeting and you will be advised about this when making the appointment.
How do you cost your services?
We will provide an estimate of costs if a fixed fee is not available. Generally, as with most solicitors, our fees are charged according to time spent.
You may also incur other costs such as Court Fees, Barrister Fees, Expert Fees or Search Fees – any such costs incurred by us on your behalf are referred to as disbursements. It is our policy to ask you to let us have a sum on account of our projected costs and disbursements.
How will I know how much my matter is going to cost?
Once we have analysed and ascertained your need, we will provide you with an estimate of the projected costs involved. We will keep your costs under review and update costs estimates regularly and as and when necessary.
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
You will need to bring two forms of ID in their original format – a passport or driving licence providing photographic evidence and a proof of address, i.e. a bill at your current address that is dated within the last three months. If you are unsure please speak to your solicitor. As we are in the regulated sector we are required to ‘know our client’ at the outset of a matter.
