A leading law Directory, Chambers UK, has described me as a Leading Individual for whom the market has the ‘utmost respect’. Their sources said that I was “a great communicator” who possesses “solid knowledge of his field”. “His client management skills are excellent and he is a pragmatic litigator.” The Legal 500 testimonial includes “Julian Hunt is one of the toughest negotiators but one of the most charming men you will ever meet.
My focus is on resolving, not creating conflict and I try to steer couples away from the Court process, to encourage negotiations and to find solutions. I am equally equipped to deal with complex and contentious issues in a calm, focused and if necessary, a robust manner. I strive to adopt the approach which will best benefit each individual and to prepare them for life after divorce or separation.
My specialities:
- acting on high value & complex divorce/separations, particularly with Trusts & pension issues
- dealing with cases using the collaborative law model
- advising on pre and post nuptial agreements and living together agreements
- advising on cohabitation disputes
I am a thoroughbred Brightonian with strong roots in the community. I am regularly to be found playing league cricket and scratch team golf in Sussex.
A final bit of trivia is that I am the youngest Solicitor to have become elected President of the Sussex Law Society and remain the longest golf driving Solicitor in England (the National Solicitors Golf Championships were disbanded the following year!).
